This card index was compiled by Sheelah Stenhouse, using resources such as The Logan Witness newspaper (a 4 page paper issued once a week), the John Oxley Library, and locally acquired knowledge - gained by asking people about their families and the history of the area.
This indexing project is still a work-in-progress, with only a part of the index typed and yet to be fully checked. Our band of volunteers has been endeavouring to complete this project. Anyone interested in becoming one of the team can contact the committee.
Please note - there are several errors in the spelling of surnames, i.e. Wilkie vs Wilke. We cannot change the 'original document' as we cannot find the original source of the information. However, we can add a note for future researchers about issues like this. If you find a problem, please contact us and we will add a note.
